Coffee Breaks
Coffee will be served free of charge to all registered participants during the coffee breaks indicated in the program.
Conference Bag
The conference bag, containing the conference material, can be obtained at the registration desk at the conference venue.
Currency
The national currency in Slovenia is the Euro (€). It is also the standard currency for all payments in connection with ISPAD 2009. Credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) are accepted as well. For on-site currency exchange, please ask your hotel for further information.
Exhibition
Conference participants are invited to visit the exhibition in the foyers of the bcc. The exhibition will be open during the following times:

Insurance and Liability
The conference organizer, the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes and the ISPAD Conference Secretariat can not accept liability for personal injury, loss of or damage to belongings of conference participants, either during or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own insurance.
Internet Café
The Internet Café will be open to all delegates during the exhibtion hours.
ISPAD Service Point
The Society will have a service point in the exhibition area where members can ask questions, pay their fees, get missing issues of Pediatric Diabetes, etc. Non-Members are also invited to learn more about ISPAD
Language
The official conference language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided, except where indicated otherwise.

Lunches
Lunches will be available to all registered participants during the lunch breaks indicated in the program.
Name Badge
A badge is required for admittance to all official conference sessions and events. Each participant is asked to present the badge in order to gain access to the conference. The name badge must be worn and clearly displayed at all times.
Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception
The Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 will take place from 06.30 pm to 07.00 pm. It will be followed by a Welcome Reception starting at 07.00 pm. Both events are free of charge to all registered participants, accompanying persons and industry representatives.

Passport & Visa Requirements
Delegates from countries within the European Union /Schengen Area will only need a valid passport or ID to travel to Slovenia. All other delegates should contact the nearest Slovenia embassy or consulate for visa details.
Program Changes
The organizers cannot assume liability for any changes in the program due to external or unforeseen circumstances. Please check the website for regular updates. The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, relocate or change any of the sessions.
Smoking Policy
It is forbidden to smoke in any part of the conference venue.
Speakers Center
Invited speakers, chairmen and oral abstract presenters must report to the speakers center at least four hours prior to their presentation in order to check and deposit their presentation.

Delegates submitting an abstract have the possibility to apply for a travel grant. Please use the Travel Grant Application Form at the back of the Announcement.
