appears that I have thrush. What is the best thing to do?
A: vit b complex with clotrrimazole mouth paint.

A: You can easily check your minimal health care rates in internet, for example here - health-quotes.isgreat.org
Q: can you take asmanex and prednisone together?
Thank you everyone!!!
A: Yes, they do not disturb each other. On the long run, however, one of them should be reduced because of the side effects.
Q: Side effects of Asmanex?
I used to take advair but I got the jittery feeling so i recently was prescribed with asmanex. I read one of the side effects is loss of appetite....does this often occur, only with any other side effects?
A: I've been taking asmanex for a couple of years now and it never bothered me. It only bothers me if I don't take it.
Q: Does anyone take asmanex?
I just starting taking this and when I take it , I don't taste anything, I'm not sure if I"m doing it right. Does anyone know the proper way to use this medication?
A: Hey, I recently started taking it too! I used to take the Advair inhaler, which I could taste. So, since I can't taste the powder of the Asmanex I asked the pharmacist and the doctor.
So, don't worry, your not supposed to taste it. The only way to know if you are doing it right, is to make sure the dosage dial number decreases each time you turn the dispenser.
Q: Is there a generic drug equivalent to Advair? What do you use to help with YOUR asthma?
I have been taking Advair for years now and it is super expensive and it doesn't seem to be working as well as it used to either. Does anyone know if Asmanex works liek Advair and is it cheaper? Are there any other generic drugs to help prevent asthma? I have never had a SERIOUS attack but I get mild ones/wheezing off/on. Does anyone use anything herbal that helps with it? Thanks!
Forgot to mention - I usually have asthma in the night/early morning. And sometimes I feel like I can't catch a full breath - but I have never known if that's anxiety or asthma and my Dr didnt seem to know either... Also, I tend to get thrush in my throat from the Advair so I'd really like to get away from it !
A: Asmanex is only a steroid to act as a preventative medication. You will still get the thrush from it if you do not rinse you mouth after using it. Your doctor and pharmacist probably didn't tell you about washing out your mouth. If you don't you will get thrush. This is a brand new medication so I doubt it would be cheaper.
Advair is a steroid and a bronchodilator. This is a more effective medication. If it is used properly and continuously it is a very good medication. It is only to be used twice a day. You may need to increase the strength.
Anxiety can pose as a mild asthma attack. I have seen this many times. One thing that may help you know the difference is to try what is called pursed-lip breathing. This is done by exhaling with you lips partially closed to slow down the airflow out of your lungs. Do that for several breaths and if you feel better then it is most likely anxiety. If it doesn't help used your rescue inhalor which should be xopenex, albuterol, or combivent or something of that sort.
If you use your rescue inhalor more than 2 times in a 2 week period then you are using it to much and need an adjustment in medications.
Visit this web page for more help. It is good.

A: Do you know.. all events are cause by planetary movements. so, check with famous indian astrologers for more details. the will tell you why..for example mercury and venus rules skin, health and face. the weakness of these planets during their period will cause skin and health problems etc... good luck .. try www.yournetastrologer.com..
Q: What is the safest medication (Beathing Inhalers)comparing the 3 i am listing ?
I am a Viet Nam Vet & get my medication thru the VA.
My primary doctor & my personal doctor has prescribed these 3 different inhaler medications for me.
I am trying to find out which is the saftest inhaler medical wise to use long term ?
I am a class-2 diabectic/63 years old/with major breathing problems from asbestoes.
1-Foeadil Aerolizer
2-asmanex Twisthaler
3-proventil HFA (Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Aerosal)
Thank You.
A: First of all, thank you for serving our country!
If you have breathing problems, taking any or all of these meds is MUCH safer than not taking them!!! The side affects are minimal and most people don't experience them. There shouldn't be any drug interactions between these meds and your diabetes meds, but if you'd like to make sure, you can check using this website: http://www.drugs.com/drug_interactions.html
If they prescribed 3, you probably need to take all 3 of them because they all work differently to do different things. Proventil is a fast-acting inhaler to "rescue" you from sudden attacks. You probably won't need to take it regularly--just when your symptoms kick up. Asmanex and Foradil are regular maintenance inhalers that dilate your bronchial tubes. They won't stop sudden attacks, but if taken regularly will drastically reduce the number of times you experience symptoms. That said, Asmanex and Foradil work differently, and will work better together than separately.
If financial considerations prevent you from being able to take all 3, pick either asmanex or foradil, AND get the generic of proventil--Albuterol.
Q: is Asmanex the same thing as Flovent?
A: You have written the trade names. You can see by yourself what are the constituents by looking at the cartoons or packings.
All drugs are manufactured by different names by different manufacturers. That is called Trade name. The original name is the generic name, which should be present below the trade name.
Q: What would cause swelling and internal pressure to the point of extreme pain in the kidney area?
64 year old black male, paralized from the chest down, recently diagnosed with 4th stage cancer of the liver, stomach and lungs is having regular episodes of swelling in the kidney area. This is causing in internal pressure to the point of extreme pain.Patient also has severe pressure absesses on the coxyx and upper hamstring muscles,is borderline diabetic and asthematic. A: Does he really have cancer of Liver, Lung and Stomach? Or are these just metastasis from one malignant organ? If so, why can't he just not have metastasis to the Kidney?
Q: Advair vs. Asmanex?
Which has less risk of death and long term effects? Also side effects, but mainly concerned about the other two?
A: Regardless of which one you are on, trying taking wild oregano oil at the same time. I found that it greatly reduced my own asthma. Deep breathing also helps. All these steroids have brutal side affects so if you can find a natural approach, it's worth trying.
Q: Am I over-medicated, the same physician practice prescribed all medications to be taken daily or as needed?
My Medication List is as follows:
Daily: seroquel, asmanex,Prevacid, adderall, HCTZ (blood pressure), bupropion, and citalopram
As needed:maxalt mlt, tramadol, propoxyphene, and loratadine.
I have been diagnosed bi-polar and depressed, ADHD, asthma, GERD, have been in 3 car accidents, and migraines. Any insights would be helpful. Thanks
A: You may want to get a second opinion, or talk to some specialists in the areas in which you've been diagnosed. I'm not saying you are over-medicated, but that it is good to be cautious and aware of side effects or interactions.
Additionally, there are some physicians out there who rely so much on medication that they lose sight of actually helping patients.
Q: Does anybody know good preventatives for asthma that don't have a lot of side effects?
i am on albuterol breathing treatments every four hours a day and night..going on a year and a half straight now. i've tried flovent..advair..intal..asmanex..q var..singular..pulmicort..and a few others i cannot remember..none have worked..i would appreciate any sugestions to any other medications besides these r even herbal remedies..thanks: ]
A: I am a dietetics and med student. Please take this as an opinion only and not as medical adivice as I am not an RD or MD yet. Unfortunatley, there is not much you can do preventitive treament if the medications you mentioned have not worked. However, there could be fluid in your lungs triggering asthma attacks more frequently. Try using a hypotonic nasal spray (i.e. Ocean nasal spray available in most pharmacies or creating your own with basic epsom salt and water). It will break apart anything in your lungs, sinuses and nose giving you more relief. Have your doctor check you out for any infections that may be in your lungs and ask about going on an anti-biotic and steroid combination (a good example is Levaquin 500 mg and Prednisone 20 mg). As far as trying to do the preventitive maintnence, Asmanex is a really good steroidal inhaler (similar to Advair) but I think it works better then the Advair. Talk to your doctor about refering you to an asthma and allergy specialist as they have a greater expertise regarding your respiratory health then a regular MD. Hope this helps!
