Q: Can a Parkinson's patient take Dostinex?
A: Sorry I don't know. Go to the website md.com and see if they can help.
Q: Has any men used Dostinex too help speed up orgasms?
A: I'm not a guy but Why would you want to speed them up? Duh
Q: Has anyone heard of the recall on the drug Dostinex????
Amee- I take it too- and yes its VERY expensive. I take it to reduce the size of my brain tumor-I have Prolactinoma.
Can I ask what your taking it for?
A: if there are drug recalls ask your pharmacist as they will be up to date on all recalls.
Q: Have you ever tried Dostinex (Cabergoline)? Would you?
It's a Parkinson's drug that is now popular for recreational use (at least in Miami, where a lot of Rx drugs are abused) because it inhibits the production of prolactin, the hormone that makes men sleepy and lose their erection after orgasm. On the drug, some men find the can keep going indefinitely.
Have you tried it? Would you?
How might men being able to readily have multiple orgasms change relations between the sexes?
A: Yeah I'd absolutely LOVE to give that a shot and have been wanting to for months, but the side effects are just too risky.
Prolactin is an evil hormone for men. It's not just about sex drive, it's EVERYTHING drive. Prolactin is the hormone which gives us "off days" at the gym as well, it's like the "don't give a ****" feeling weed gives you. It stops our creativity, it kills our aggression, it kills our motivation. It's a menace.
It's also a stress hormone. When you cry, your tears contain prolactin, and one theory as to why crying makes you feel better is because you're expelling the stuff from your body.
Unless you're a lactating mother, prolactin has no other real use in the body except negative ones.
BUT, as I said, caber is dangerous. So is Bromocriptine. When they manage to find one which supresses prolactin without screwing up anything else I'll be first in line for it.
Q: Anyone else have a microadenoma that causes hyperprolactinemia?
I have a pituitary gland tumor that causes me to lactate as if I were breastfeeding. I have taken Dostinex for this, but now I'm without health insurance and cannot afford the $186 generic prescription for 8 pills (cabergoline). Are there alternate treatments for this condition?
A: I do not know anything about your condition, but I have a suggestion for your symptom of over-lactation.
Sage and Parsley will both dry up your milk supply when taken in therapeutic doses. Women who do not wish to breastfeed or who are ready to wean their babies use this natural method.
You can get either in capsule form or you can make the leaves into a tea and drink it.
Teas can be made by pouring 1 cup of boiling water over 1–2 tsps. of dried herb. Let the tea steep, covered, for 5 minutes or so. Teas can be served hot or cold, and brewed many different ways. You can buy the herb that you choose in bulk and make a large amount of tea to keep in the fridge.
Visit this site for more information on making herbal teas:

You can do a search about the other benefits of sage and parsley and that may help you decide which one you want to use. For instance, sage is also good for "persistent bacterial infections within and without the body."
Here's another thought! The above website has a section called "Need a Remedy." If you look in the "T" section, it lists several herbs that will help with "Thyroid Conditions." Among them: cayenne pepper and Siberian Ginseng.
I hope this encourages you.
Q: i'm taking dostinex(0.05mg 1/wk),i'm trying to get preg.when do i need to stop?
in case if i 'm perg ,does it cause any harm to feutus?
A: There are many lawsuits with that drug. It has known to cause heart valve problems. If I were you, I would tell your Dr. that you are trying to get pregnant and to put you on something safe to us. Not this.

9yrs later, my son is a healthy 8 yr old and I continue to take dostinex to contol a small pituitary tumour. I have never had side effects. My cycle is very regular.
Have faith in Dostinex, my levels of prolactin were through the roof , but it worked on regulating my periods immediately, thus helping me get pregnant. Baby dust and good luck to you. !!!!!

A: they wold probably interact together very strongly, and not in a pleasant way.
they are both dopaminergic drugs, and I can forsee seizures, extreme vomiting and possible physosis from mixing them.
Probably a bad idea. better to wait until the dostinex is no longer needed before indulging in physomotor stimulants of any sort, unless directly and carefully supervised by a doctor.
Q: I am on dostinex and am trying to concieve. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice.?
A: Okay, it may sound weird, but make sure you have an orgasm after your partner does his part. I'm not sure what dostinex is, I'm thinking it's a fertility drug. But the reason I say to have an orgasm is because I was with a guy for three years trying to conceive, without any drugs. I never did, but three other girls got pregnant off him. I moved in with my boyfriend who pays way more attention in bed, and low and behold, six weeks later I was expecting. My friends and I have discussed this theory in length and are finding out that the more a women orgasms, the more fertile she seems to be. I have one friend who fakes it, she only has one child but wants another one and has been trying for a few years. And I have another friend who didn't have to fake it and ended up with two children in 2 1/2 years even though her husband was in the army and home only like 8 months out of the three years they were married. Good luck and lots of baby dust!
Q: Has anyone been able to conceive while having a high prolactin level?
I have a microadenoma and normally take Dostinex. However, I have been off the medication since I was pregnant and now nursing. My husband and I would like to conceive again, but are not sure if I can become pregnant (I have only had 1 period 5 months ago) since I am not back on my meds. Is there anyone out there that was able to conceive while having a high prolactin level?
A: Sure, using Bromocriptine
Q: Has anyone had issues getting pregnant with a Prolactinoma?
Hi Guys,
Im 25 (turning 26 in september) and I have a Prolactinoma. This is a small non cancerous tumor on your puturity gland in your brain.
The puturitry glad controls pretty much everything and is the size of your pinky finger nail. My tumor is about 4.5mm and Im on a drug called Dostinex to shrink it. Im on 1 tablet once a week and take it every single friday night becuase it makes me sick the next day. I have been in treatment for this since OCT 2005.
My question is that I want to start having kids in the next year or so and am wondering i f there is anyone out there with a similarsituationn? I would love to know if you had trouble conceiving and how did your tumor go with the pregnancy?
Also did you just stop your medication and then start trying?
Anyone with any info on this would be great. I have MRI's, blood tests and expensive doctors appointments once a year (coming up this december) and hopefully this year my tumor will have shrunk and we are makingprogresss with the medication.
A: I do not have a prolactinoma but I do have high prolactin from a medication I was taking. It was so bad I stopped getting my periods, my breasts grew etc etc. We lowered my prolactin by taking me off the meds but my prolactin never went down to a normal range. However, I guess I began to ovulate - I had normal periods. I became pregnant with 1 month of trying.
My friend does have a prolactinoma. She became pregnant with one month of trying but had an ectopic pregnancy. She lost her tube and tried again. With one tube and a prolactinoma she became pregnant again with one month of trying. She went off her meds during pregnancy and things were fine. She was just monitored. She is back on now.
Q: What can i use to get me pregnant fast.?
Hi guys i have high prolactin and was put on dostinex and i've been trying to conceive. What medication that can help me to get pregnant quickly.
A: Short of getting fertility treatment, there really isn't anything else. But usually that is only if you are infertile.
Q: Can You Get Periods During Menopause?
I am 38 years old and started menopause early. I have hot flashes, but am still getting my period. I have been taken the medication Dostinex for a while. Can this be the case for early menopause?
A: there are alot of women who get irregular periods during menopause, it happens because u dont get a mature egg during the month, in the end u'll stop getting them .. if u dont and the bleeding becomes sever, u should see a Dr, there could be other problems than what we think is normal..
i think Dostinex has something to relate to ur periods, Dostinex is used for treating disorders associated with high prolactin levels; persistent breast milk production, lack of a menstrual period, infertility, and other conditions.... so its normal that u still have those periods! .. its not the cause of ur menopause, its the cause of ur periods ...
now, if u have any doubt, consult ur Dr, and stop the medication for a while, just to see if u still get these periods... start changin ur lifestyle, the food u r having, u may get food rich with estrogen like soy, alfalfa, cherries, rice, wheat and yams, u can go for exercise as well, relaxation techniques,... its not menopause.
